2016: Suriname (PZ5V)

This year’s operation was made possible by Ramon PZ5RA, whose station and lodgings we hired for a week leading up to the contest.

Suriname lies on the northern coast of South America bordered by French Guyana to the east, Guyana to the west, Brazil to the south. The interior highlands are covered by thick tropical forests, intersected by rivers. The southernmost border region is savanna. The highest point is 1,225m (4,120ft) in the Wilhelmina mountain range.
